A quick one tonight then.
X-Hangar updated the M-7 Maule, including a new version called the TEA (Terrain Extreme) with huge fat tundra tires. The original EPOCH livery didn't work on this version, so Rick kindly got his virtual brushes busy and raised a new version.
Download the file again - in Downloads - for the changes.
The new sked flights #708 and #709 out of PASW Skwentna have been included in the Planning Form dropdown menu.
The button in the Sked Planning Form page had a broken link. It now works.
Thanks all for your patience with site changes. Internet connections have been very problematic over the Labour Day weekend.

Yes folks, this week is the last of the big adventures before the end of July and all of August are spent in the relative tranquility of scheduled service at EPOCH Alaska Air.
But there's lots going on right now!
Our member, rick.hudd has graced us with his artistic talents and made a flagship EPOCH livery for the new X-Hangar Maule M-7 bush plane. The aircraft is absolutely fantastic and the paint is equally so
Also, we have been preparing for another weekend ONLINE Adventure, this time sharing airspace with the Alaskan Military as we embark on joint exercises titled "Round Hole - Square Peg". I can personally assure you that this is a one-of-a-kind, never-done-before adventure in the X-Plane world, and you just plain ol' don't want to miss out.
The new TeamSpeak server has been a decided success, with our largest number ( 7 ) flying together at the same time. Most of them were on Netflight as well, and by the sound of the posts made during the Glacier Adventure, I would say everyone had a very good time.
Alright. That's it for now. I hope everyone is having a decent summer, odd weather aside.

Thankfully, the pilots here at EPOCH Alaska Air have until the end of January to finish the Winter Preparedness Contract, with a huge haul of almost a half million pounds from Homer to Dutch Harbor still to go. Oh, you can rest assured that it will get done - we have some of the most dedicated pilots to ever fly the virtual skies, right here
Okay, so what's heating up?
First of all, member RocLobster has been updating and filling in all of the Aircraft listed in the Forum Thread, Aircraft Locator Links found here -> http://www.unex-planedapps.com/apps/forums/show/14438745-epoch-aircraft-locator-links
This is no small task and he has been at it for hours (and still is I believe). So, go take a look and fill out your kneeboard with all of the relevant data - best on the net - right here at EPOCH Alaska Air.
We're going on Vacation, if you haven't seen. The preliminary topics and threads are established and the vacation proper shall begin in just 2 short days. It can be found here -> http://www.unex-planedapps.com/apps/forums/show/14931683-new-zealand-vacation-adventure
So turn off those televisions, put the dog out for a couple of weeks, take some time off work, buy your family some gifts and movie tickets, fill up your 'Cave" with snacks and root beer and get ready for the vacation of a lifetime

The contest, found in the Forum, to taxi around and hold the tail wheel off the ground, staying on the tundra tires, has *not quite concluded*
It seems that we need a run off to account for 3 good submissions that all had some form of technicality that prevented a "clean" win.
So, you will see in the thread, I have asked the three for a 1 minute video showing their best and have upped the prize for the winner as an incentive.
Keep an eye folks... these next 3 should be REAL GOOD!

because, we have...
Oh yes. With a prize. Let me be short and sweet.
If you think you can handle a tail dragger like a really good bush pilot then come on over to the FORUM POST and have at it.
Open to members only please. Good Luck!

Good Day Bush Pilots
This is just a short note to let you know that we take flying and flight safety very seriously here at EPOCH Alaska Air.
To this end, we know that a good number of you contract pilots that we hope to attract to our Dispatches to help move goods and people around Alaska like to fly the Cessna 208 Grand Caravan.
In our opinion, the finest one is developed by Carenado and available at www.carenado.com or through the X-Plane.org store.
In discussions with Carenado, we have secured permission to use the text of their checklists verbatim to allow us to develop a couple of different formats. We now have plain text formats for printing or audible in-cockpit use or alternatively formatted checklists in booklet format for kneeboards and yoke clips.
Why not grab the files now and increase your enjoyment of bush flying with the C208B!
You can find them in the Downloads page!
Keep your float hatches tight!
